Kora Jaliya is a STANDARD model with an ULTRA WHITE skin finish

This model is truly spectacular; I am a huge fan of it. The method used to achieve the whiteness of the skin differs from the traditional process. This treatment is much gentler on the hide, and the white finish lasts significantly longer (whereas traditional skins tend to yellow over time). This finish is purely decorative and does not compromise the instrument’s tonal beauty.

This kora requires extra care regarding scratches that could damage the finish (as any other instrument). I recommend adding protective patches to the base of the handles and the base of the calabash to prevent wear from friction (I can do that work for you of course). That said, it is very easy to maintain its immaculate look; with a small restoration kit you can keep the instrument looking brand new permanently.
